Violent Day for Law Enforcement

This morning two Tampa, Florida Police Officers were shot and killed in line of duty by some waste of air.

Then, this afternoon, a Chester City, Delaware County Police Officer was shot by some other waste of air. Fortunately, as of this post, news reports indicate that the detective is stable.

More on the tragedy in Tampa when time permits.

My thoughts, of course are with the families of my fallen brothers in Tampa.

  1. It seems almost everyone of these tragedies is an assailant who got a minimum sentence for some type of aggravated assault or attempted murder with a gun. I think anything involving a gun should have a 5 year minimum and if you fire it 10 year minimum, no early releases. These days it seems officers need to be ready on the trigger even during apparently innocent traffic stops. Crazy.
