I'm a Police Officer, among other things. I'm a community member, a taxpayer, a person.
Some people may say I'm an idiot, a sign of oppression, or a pig.
Others might say I'm a life-saver, a hero or a compassionate public servant.
Say what you think, call me what you like, I'm doing my job, having fun doing it, and hopefully helping people along the way.
The liberal media certainly doesn't help the cause. Mrs Faulkner should get a friggin' noble peace prize for putting up with this crap. Intentionally killing a police officer or a child is the ultimate spit in the face of a normal society and should carry automatic death penalty.
Agreed also. I certainly object to murderers being turned into celebrity by media that are looking to make money at the expense of and without regard for victims and victims' families. Sometimes I really think people are stupid.
So what was the racial make up of the Scrugs jury? It seems now that the media activity avoids giving this information. I have looked everywhere for that info. There have been a number of "pretty strange" jury decisions in Philly in the past couple of years. I don't think you will find any of our fearless truth seeking journalist writing on that matter.
Don't know the racial makeup. Eight women and four men according to Philly inquirer. Good article there that quotes two jurors. Apparently, some Jurors had their minds made up prior to deliberations and refused to participate in the process. The shameful irony to me is that 12 people decided the fate o the murdered, and the benefit of the doubt goes in the murderers favor. But, when that same murderer promised to kill any police officers that got in his way, he was the only one to decide the Officer's fate. Worse yet, there are people and organizations (ACLU) that consider the jury's refusal fulfill their sworn duty as a victory.
